At the meeting, tourism bosses reported that Spring Break visitor numbers were actually UP year over year and attributed this to holidaymakers whose cruises, Disney trips and international travel had been canceled, and rebooking here. This weekend we welcome the annual 30AWineFestival back to Alys Beach. Running until Sunday evening, guests and visitors will be able to sample, swill and spit some of the most celebrated reds, whites and roses from across the country and beyond.

The 30A Wine Festival, now in its ninth year, is also a great fundraiser for our community. The event raises thousands of dollars for Children’s Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) which provides free dental and health care check-ups for some of the area’s most needy young people.

In addition to wine tastings and discussions with master vintners, visitors will be able to meet local brewers, distillers and chefs who will be sharing their aged bourbons, craft beers and delicious plates of food with
